Dana Kuhman

Dana Kuhman is an energetic, hard-working professional with functional experience in program development and executive management. She possesses strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Dana has excellent written and oral communication skills and possesses the ability to work in both team-oriented and self-directed environments.

In 2000, Ms. Kuhman joined Globalcom, Inc. and most recently served as the Executive Project Director. During her eight years at the Company, her responsibilities included providing direct support to the CEO and managing a communication plan as the liaison to executives and management personnel. Ms. Kuhman worked with executive management and contributed to the development, integration and coordination of company strategic goals and objectives that supported the Company’s mission and core values. Moreover, she maintained a positive rapport with the Company’s Board of Directors, high-level customers, vendors and investors.

Ms. Kuhman managed multiple and large scale projects designated to accelerate the growth and success of the Company. She assisted in coordinating the geographic expansion of Globalcom, including the build out of the Company’s state of the art corporate headquarters in the AON Center located in downtown Chicago. Ms. Kuhman also facilitated the opening of satellite sales offices in Westmont and Lombard, IL and coordinated resources for other sales office locations in Dallas, Cleveland and Milwaukee. In addition, she was a Company representative at area career fairs to utilize interpersonal skills to recruit new sales employees and facilitated headquarter open house tours and recruitment presentations.

Corporate communication, both external and internal, was supervised by Ms. Kuhman while she was at Globalcom; she prepared and distributed press releases to inform the public of the Company’s programs and accomplishments. She also collaborated with management for quarterly department updates to create employee newsletters, thus educating and promoting goodwill to readers. Ms. Kuhman utilized her leadership skills to organize and facilitate employee focus groups in efforts to close communication gaps between management and employees on non-monetary benefits. She utilized feedback to research, create and implement a summer-hour program.

Ms. Kuhman created, coordinated and managed all Company events, including All-Employee meetings, Special Events and President’s Club Award Trips. She was responsible for negotiating site selection contracts, preparing and managing catering and venue budgets and developing promotional materials. Moreover, Ms. Kuhman coordinated all domestic and international employee travels and curtailed the use of outside travel agencies, alleviating annual expenses by 15%.

Maintaining reward & recognition programs were also a part of Ms. Kuhman’s duties while at Globalcom. These programs were based on the Company’s core values to recognize employee achievements, promote camaraderie and boost morale. Such programs included End-of-the-Year Department Awards, Company MVP Awards and Executive Management & Employee breakfast and luncheons. Ms. Kuhman also assisted in the re-launch of the Globalcom Charity Committee by creating a charter that outlined the mission statement, responsibilities and membership selection as well as detailed the application process and guidelines for the group, which was responsible for planning and promoting activities for employees to volunteer and support local organizations.

During her eight-year tenure at Globalcom, Ms. Kuhman worked intimately with the Board of Directors. She was responsible for assembling, organizing and communicating information to the Board of Directors for quarterly meetings. Moreover, in 2008, she assisted the Board during its endeavor to sell the Company. Ms. Kuhman assisted in the execution of the Company’s acquisition by coordinating resources, creating and facilitating a corporate communication plan and participating in the initial integration phases.

Currently, Ms. Kuhman participates in various philanthropic endeavors. She serves on the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois Associate Board and is responsible for promoting community awareness and support for the foundation through event-based fundraising. She also serves as a Wish Granter for the organization and works directly with children and their families to ascertain and plan their wishes while also working to creatively seek in-kind goods and services to implement and execute the wish. In addition, Ms. Kuhman also serves on the DePaul Chi Omega Advisory Board as an advisor to undergraduate organization members specifically in alumnae relations and chapter development.
Ms. Kuhman received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Corporate & Organizational Communication from Western Kentucky University in 2000. She obtained a Masters in Public Service from DePaul University in 2008.
